5Direct hook-up for siriusOct 17, 2009
This direct antenna hookup for Sirius really improves the reception and saves you hunting for open stations as you drive from area to area...

5Works well, cheaper elsewhereOct 15, 2009
This is an excellent product. I installed Sirius Starmate 5SIRIUS ST5TK1 Satelite Radio Receiver into my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. Initially I used the included FM antenna to try and "beam" the signal from the unit to my vehicle FM antenna and then play through my factory head unit. It had so much static it was unusable.

This wired relay plugged directly into the back of the Toyota Factory radio antenna port, and then existing antenna plugged perfectly into the relay. One other wire goes to your Starmate cradle, and that's it. No adapters were required. Sound is now crystal clear without any static or interruptions. There are no other inputs into this device, so if you want to hook up an iPod as well and play through your factory radio, you will not want this device. For the Tacoma, a company called USA Spec makes a nice adapter that functions like this device but also allows an input for an iPod. I did not want to hook an iPod in so this was not a concern for me, but its a note for everyone else as I imagine its a concern for most people.

The relay requires no external power and comes with plenty of cord length to enable you to find a suitable mounting location under the dash that will keep it hidden. The only thing that brought down my opinion is that I found this device for the same price at Radio Shack, but only after I had bought it through Amazon. Could have saved the shipping costs by just getting it from Radio Shack. Would have hoped that the price would be slightly cheaper on here.

5Great productApr 22, 2009
Great product does everything it says it does. Eliminates static, but can be a space problem if you have very limited space behind your deck. I installed mine in a 2005 Subaru Baja with a stock sound system.

5Much Better than expectedMar 28, 2009
Purchased this for my 2001 Toyota Sequoia SUV. Installing was easy, though there were no screw-mount-holes to use on this item. Using it with a new Sirius Sportster5. The contrast between using the Fm-signal wire that comes with the Sportster5 versus this item is significant. The signal clarity sounds like we're listening to an FM station while parked next door to the station. Simply astounding. I highly recommend this item if you don't have an AUX input in your vehicle radio.

4Great Product, but missing a little infoMar 19, 2009
I love how this thing works. It actually makes the sat radio come in stereo rather just single channel. Also areas of my commute where the radio interference was greatest is now gone. I get clear sat radio everywhere I go. Install was easy except for one thing. My factory installed radio used a different type of plug than the one that was on the unit. I had my stereo pulled out of the dash and disassembled (to properly install the wires in the dash) before I realized that I needed another piece. Be warned, do not go to radio shack, they do not have the connectors there. Try a stereo store. However, this little thing is worth the effort.
