This scale is accurate. Weights taken on it matched the table scale used in our vet's office.
Other uses: With its 44-lb capacity I'm able to weigh 20-lb propane tanks to determine remaining propane; the curved weighing tray is perfect to accommodate the tanks.
We also use the scale to weigh packages before shipping with USPS Click-N-Ship®. It can even weigh letters to determine First Class postage.

We were having trouble with our 3-week old not feeding enough and we needed a good baby scale to track his progress and be able to do weigh-feed-weigh. This scale does the job very well and we have no complaints. Consecutive readings are always consistent.

This scale is perfect for our needs. We want to track our 3-month-old son's weight gain and this scale does just that! I will admit we put a 5 lb. weight on it just to check for accuracy and it was off by .4, but it's not a big deal because we just take that into consideration when weighing our son. A bonus is that it can also be used for our 2 1/2 year old daughter, too! Great purchase, great price! Thanks, Amazon!
