Great way to upgrade my old car stereo to MP3 standardsOct 23, 2009 Yeah, I have a cassette player in a 1997 vehicle and wanted to be able to play my MP3 player (a Zune) in it. This device works just fine and there is no noise or anything to interrupt the sound. Now I can play some 250 albums anytime I want to, no more CD's or cassette tapes anymore. Bye the way, this unit replaces the radio frequency device (car pack) that I had bought for my Zune, it is a much, much more clear sound, no interferance now.
Solution to the auto-reverse problemOct 22, 2009 I bought this today and Im testing right now as we speak lol. Works and sounds great. I have the solution to the auto-reverse problem. If you have the auto-reverse problem, simply open the cassette up by unscrewing all the screws. Once inside the cassette, take out the gear in the middle. Close it back up, and the problem should be fixed. Now I can listen to cd's in my 95 Buick Century! Thanks god!
dependable and solidOct 12, 2009 I purchased the Philips MP3-to-cassette adapter for the sole purpose of being able to listen to music and podcasts in my car, via my iPod Touch.
The package comes in a solidly packed plastic package, and includes the cassette adaptor and 1/8" jack cable. Installing this device is easy. Simply pop the cassette head into the tape deck dash of your car, and plug the cable into your MP3 player of choice. To my ears, the resulting audio quality sounds really good. There were no hisses and pops, unlike my previous Monster cassette-to-MP3 adapter. The unit is reasonably priced and comes with a life-time warranty. It does what it says it can do, and does it well.
Highly recommended.
excellent quality. Best of the bunch.Oct 03, 2009 This product works well, and sounds good. I compared it to the Coby CA-747, and Griffin DirectDeck (7256-DDECK). Both of those had *awful* sound quality. The philips adapter sounds good, about as good as one can expect going through the cassette head of the stereo system.
Works as intendedAug 22, 2009 You put in in, connect your player and enjoy high quality music - just as intended.
