Terrific PurchaseAug 13, 2009 I have tried several different dash mounts in my car for my TomTom,
nothing worked. I recieved this yesterday and it works! This product sticks even if you put armoral on your dash and I did, everything slid off. I am so pleased that I just ordered another one for my son.
I would highly recomend this product to anyone that has something to mount on the dash.

Nice alternativeJul 15, 2009 I purchased this product for my Tomtom go 720 and it works great. The suction cup mount from your GPS simply suctions to the hard surface attached to the bean bag. I can set it on the dash or plop it in the passenger seat and I am ready to go.
The bean bag is about eight inches by eight inches square and is about one inch to one inch and a quarter tall depending on where the bean bag bunches up. The plastic mounting surface in the center of the bean bag mounts to the bean bag with four steel snaps and mostly sits on the surface with maybe a quarter inch recess at most. As a result, there is absolutely no obstruction to the viewing of the gps as the mount that came with your gps is at least a quarter inch tall.
I priced shopped this product on another site where I normally buy electronics related gear. The other site had supposed free shipping but in actuality, had included it in the purchase price such that the total cost was about $4 more than what I paid here for both the product and shipping.
Walmart has a generic donut shaped product which is supposed to be comparable but its price was also more than shipping and purchase price from Amazon. Plus, the Walmart version has a large lip on it which I was concerned would obstruct viewing. The product has no such viewing obstructions. The suction cup easily mounts and unmounts to the hard surface of this product and makes a nice solid mount.
Perfect & just what I needed!May 25, 2009 I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 260W and after extensive research as to a portable mount such as this one, I found this to be just what I needed. It holds the GPS in place beautiful and I was taking somewhat severe turns and/or uphill and the mount and GPS stayed in place beautifully. I am impressed and pleased I found this (and found it at a great deal as well.) You can not go wrong purchasing this mount.
bean bag dash mountMay 16, 2009 works great sticks right where you place it easy to remove and set on the floor of the car when you leave the vehicle only complaint was the high cost for shipping
Works wellJan 19, 2009 The good thing about this beanbag is that the mounting platform is at the top, so the beanbag doesn't get in the way of cables very much. I'm using it with the TomTom GO 730. The TomTom windshield mount is short, so I doubt that it works with beanbags where the platform is down inside the beanbag. The Gilsson has very good non-skid material on the bottom. It never moved.
