5Great Navigation Tool Keeps GoingAug 05, 2009
I'm very pleased to see that Garmin still offers this fantastic navigation instrument. It is large enough to float (not as dense as the micro-units), the screen is larger and large enough to read even without normally-required corrective lenses, it is rugged and amazingly shockproof, and it is the first GPS I have used that has been truly waterproof - so far anyway, after several years of hard use in whatever weather coastal Alaska has put it through. One feature not often mentioned that has been truly invaluable is the tide table feature. There are an amazing number of locations programmed including some every obscure, remote places; very useful.

5Really good for the price.Jan 25, 2009
Today I booted it up from storage and it still
remembers my 2003 way point at Interlaken
Switzerland. Really good price for something that
may possibly save your life.

4Simple GPS, good value for money for casual, no bells or whistlesAug 11, 2008
Simple GPS, good value for money for casual, no bells or whistles. WAAS has issue in software needs to be updated to version 2.5 I think, so be sure to buy a serial cable to update. Buy the garmin compatible it works and you save $30.

5happy husbandJan 02, 2008
I bought this for my husband. He hasn't put it down since he opened it and can't wait to get out in the boat. It was exactly what he was looking for.
