Crackberry Addicts Beware!!!Sep 15, 2009 i don't do a lot of reviewing, but felt compelled to do so in order to warn others who, like myself, may be about to waste 80 dollars. actually, a one-star review may not be fair, because the problem may lie with blackberry and not with the device. at any rate, it appears now that verizon has unlocked the gps chip for the curve 8330, allowing it to be used not just with the proprietary VZ Navigator, but also with the built-in Blackberry Maps software. that software is ok, but i really wanted to use gps with google maps. the catch is that google maps on the curve now appears disabled from using the gps data from this device, rendering it useless. bottom line: if you have a curve thru verizon and want to use google maps, you're stuck with positioning via radio cell towers. if you want more precise gps performance, your choices are limited to either vz navigator (and its ridiculous monthly fee) or the less functional (when compared to google maps) blackberry maps. so save your money and don't buy this keychain device.

It works, but I wish I didn't need itJun 06, 2009 This does what it is supposed to do...adds GPS to my PDA and laptop. However, getting the two devices to work together almost always requires several attempts. I wish it was easier, or there were better instructions (but much thanks to those on this site who have published their own). So, get it if you need one, but if you have the luxury of integrated GPS you'll be much happier without this device.

it wasnt clear that it does not work with google mapsMay 04, 2009 The website for this product says that it works on treo755. However it turns out that it does not work with the google maps installed on the treo755. This means i would have to go and buy another piece of software like telenav which is pretty expensive.
There is a shareware app called whereami to bridge into google maps but it is not very good. It takes a long time to get the location and only on the old google maps.
In short, you have a palm treo 755 and expect to get this working with no additional expensive software, you are in for trouble.
Im pretty disappointed that it does not work with my google maps on the treo as this treo has no other mapping software. They really should not say it works with treo 755 and not warn people that more software will be necessary!
Great product!Apr 21, 2009 I have been using this mini GPS with Treo 680 and TomTom Navigator for several months. I love it! It's about the size of car remote and it doesn't bother me in the pocket.
I had different bluethooth GPS before (DeLorme BT-20) and sometimes I forgot to carry it with me, but often I wish I had. Murphy's law applies here, too. Now I attach it to my keychain, so it's available wherever I go. You never know when you need it especially if you go out with your family.
